Within the DOFE Fund, the National Centre may launch a special call for support for special projects of DOFE centres.
Create a better world together - start today!
In 2025, the Special Appeal was supported by the Bakala Foundation with Create a better world together - start today!
We supported the following projects:
Snail bed
The aim of the project is to create an educational and recreational space in the form of a snail-shaped community garden. The bed will be planted with dry-loving plants that attract pollinators and other beneficial insects, and will be complemented by an insect house. The project is designed to connect students, teachers and parents, foster a relationship with nature and offer hands-on learning across a variety of subjects.

Media Fest
The main goal of this project is to promote students' media literacy and increase their awareness of the benefits and risks of AI. The project also aims to connect current and former students to create a strong alumni community at the school. The festival will include lectures and workshops focused on practical skills such as creating podcasts, reports or videos.

English Library
This project aims to provide students with free access to authentic English books and board games to support their language skills. The library will serve as a place to meet, read and discuss English literature, helping to overcome language and social barriers. The aim is also to create a community space and encourage students to visit the library regularly.

Intergenerational bridges
The project aims to increase the media literacy of seniors in a local home for the elderly and to promote intergenerational connections between young people and seniors. Through interactive workshops and the use of technologies such as virtual reality, students will learn how to help seniors better navigate the online environment and use social networks. The aim is also to boost their confidence in working with technology and encourage the sharing of memories between generations.
DOFE centre: integrated secondary school Hodonín, contributory organisation
Environment Day
This project aims to connect schools and the local community in the Sudeten area and to foster cooperation and a relationship with the environment. The joint tree planting and workshops are intended to help build a positive relationship with the place, while bringing the complicated past of the region, especially the events associated with the end of World War II, to the current generation. The event is designed as a practical and experiential field activity, led by experts and lecturers, with an emphasis on educating children about the proper treatment of nature.
