DOFE Ceremonies

You must have completed all activities and dispatches and have them entered in the ORB by the pre-determined deadline. To complete the ceremony you must have a status in ORB: Awaiting Ceremony. You will do best to contact your leader/supervisor before the deadline to have your ORB entries completed in a timely manner.

It's okay, you'll go to the ceremony at another time.

You will receive an electronic certificate each time you complete a level. It will be sent automatically to your email (the one you have registered in ORB). You will only receive a paper certificate at the ceremony or from your leader/coordinator who will pick it up at the ceremony.

Yes, that's enough! For this reason, an electronic version is now also sent to applicants, which you can attach to your CV. Don't forget to show off your electronic certificate on social media and add it to LinkedIn.

Your electronic badge will arrive in the mail along with your electronic certificate. The real badge can only be received at the ceremony.

No, participation in the ceremony is not compulsory. But if you don't show up, you won't get a badge, and that would be a shame.

Yes, your application will arrive at the email address you have on file with ORB! But you must have completed everything, see above.

Invitation to the ceremony was received by all dofacs and dofacs who met the deadline for registration in ORB. You probably do not have the required status in ORB: Pending Ceremony or you did not meet the deadline by which this status had to be entered. Ceremony registration goes to the email you have on ORB. Don't forget to check your spam.

You will not lose your electronic certificate or badge, it will arrive in your email (the one you have in ORB). Unfortunately, you will no longer be able to participate in the ceremony.

Unfortunately, that's not how it works. If you have completed your ORB registration on time and missed the ceremony, you are not allowed to participate the following year. But don't hang your head, your electronic certificate is in the mail and maybe try the next level!

As soon as the moderators call your name at the ceremony, they are reading your medallion from your ceremony application, so it's great if you share with us how you enjoyed doing DOFE.

Come to the ceremony on time and in formal attireas each graduate takes to the stage. Upon arrival, the register at the entrance and then settle in, ideally with the members of your DOFE Center.

The ceremony begins with a welcome by the moderators and speeches by distinguished guests. This will be followed by the highlights: award ceremony. During the certificate ceremony, your medallion that you filled out when you registered will be read out. You also have the opportunity to give a short speech or demonstrate a skillif you have indicated this option in your application.

Once your name is called, you will step up to the podium to shake hands with the presenters, receive your certificate and badge, and then have your picture taken with them. You will then return to your seat with a sense of victory.

After the official part, which lasts a maximum of one hour, there will be joint photography of all the participants and your leaders. Please stay for informal refreshmentswhere you will have the opportunity to talk with DOFE officials and program patrons. The informal part also lasts a maximum of one hour.

Each ceremony is unique and we are even more pleased if you want to share your experience from the program (speech) or demonstrate a skill (singing, playing the piano or other musical instrument, ballroom dancing, etc.).

When you fill out the application form, you can see how many people you can bring. It depends on the capacity of the place, sometimes it's one, sometimes two. It could be parents, siblings, friends or dates. The choice is yours.

Unfortunately, that's not possible. The ceremony for which you've applied is fixed.

In order to complete a level in ORB, the dofák must have a status of Awaiting Ceremony at a date to be determined by the National Center. If you have difficulty completing the ORB, please contact us in a timely manner (before the deadline) at: orb@dofe.cz.

It is possible to add the entry to the ORB after the deadline, but the dofák/dofačka will be able to participate in the ceremony at the next date.

Please don't announce the dofaks at the ceremony you, save your strength. Every dofak and every dofak will receive an application for the ceremony on his/her e-mail (which he/she has filled in ORB). You may, however, notify them that they should receive such an email.

The medallions of the awarded dofaks and dofaces will be read directly at the ceremony. They serve for mutual recognition and inspiration. Dofacs fill out the medallion as well as the application form themselves.

Each ceremony is unique and we are all the more pleased when dofacs and dofacs want to share their experiences from the program (speech) or demonstrate a skill (singing, piano playing, ballroom dancing, etc.) in front of their fellow dofacs. This option is filled out by the dofacs as part of their application for the ceremony.

Yes, if you wish to accompany your dofaces and dofaces to the ceremony, you must register for the ceremony. The ceremony registration form will land in your email.

No, each application is unique and in your name. Certificates are then printed based on that application. So everyone applies for the ceremony via their application form, which will be sent to their registered email.

Yes, you can pick up the certificates and badges from the dofaks who are not present at the ceremony (and are entitled to them) and present them to them after the ceremony. Please see your Regional Manager at the ceremony.
