If you have students at your school who choose to study abroad, tell them about The Kellner Family Foundation. Studying abroad can be financially challenging, so The Kellner Family Foundation provides undergraduate students with grants to cover tuition fees and other costs. The Foundation is accepting grant applications for the 2023/2024 academic year from January 1 through March 12.

The Kellner Family Foundation is accepting applications electronically via the website kellnerfoundation.cz from 1 January 2023; the form must be completed by 12 March at the latest. Applications will be considered in two rounds. First, the application information is evaluated, and selected students are then invited for personal interviews. "We get to know each individual story as we evaluate the applications. We are interested in the motivation, ambition and commitment of the applicant. At the same time, we want to support young people who are serious about applying the knowledge they have gained for the benefit of Czech society. Those who will be willing to help others," Petra Dobešová, a member of the Board of Trustees of The Kellner Family Foundation, added to the evaluation of applications.

The grants are open to undergraduate students at universities abroad, from the UK and the United States to Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Austria and elsewhere. "We give preference to applicants who have chosen modern scientific studies, for example, in fields of study that have no tradition in the Czech Republic or are currently not possible to study here. Thanks to this, the Czech Republic will gain the very experts who are most lacking here. Every year we also select several art students," said Petra Dobešová.

In the current academic year, a total of 59 students are receiving grants from The Kellner Family Foundation, studying at 50 universities in 12 countries, mainly in science and medicine, engineering, economics, law and music.

In 13 years, a total of 239 Czechs studying at universities around the world, including renowned ones such as the University of Oxford, the University of St Andrews, the University of Cambridge and Yale University, have received funding for their studies and related costs.

Profiles of all scholarship holders are published on The Kellner Family Foundation website.
