Where can you go now?

How can school management create an environment in which people are not afraid to ask questions, admit mistakes, share their uncertainties or come up with new ideas?

Apply for the Erasmus+ education programme A safe school starts with leadership, which will take place 3–6 November 2026 in Víska, South Moravia.

During the four-day programme, participants will focus on psychological safety at school, the role of leadership, dealing with mistakes, relationships, communication and wellbeing. The programme will be practical and experiential – you can expect role-play scenarios, work in small groups, the sharing of experiences between Czech and Slovak schools, and the creation of a specific 90-day plan for your own school.

Who is this trip intended for?
Aimed primarily at headteachers of schools with a DOFE centre, ideally in collaboration with the DOFE coordinator. Joint participation will help to align the school management’s strategic perspective with the day-to-day experience of those who implement DOFE within the school.

Participation in the entire programme from 3 to 6 November 2026 is a prerequisite. Submitting an application does not guarantee automatic acceptance.

What others say about Erasmus+

Former projects

V In the beautiful setting of the snow-covered Jeseníky Mountains, we have organised the following at Ovčárna in March 2025: Winter International Training Course Expeditions for A programme for 32 youth workers from five countries (the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland and Malta), focusing on leading winter expeditions with an emphasis on safety, accessibility and inclusion. In the field, participants gained hands-on experience in expedition planning, risk management and barrier-free expeditions – including skiing on monoskibiski and blind cross-country skiing.

At the end of October, we organised a training course in Český Šternberk Self-care & Burnout Prevention for 31 youth workers from 5 countries (the Czech Republic, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Finland and Malta). It focused on self-care as a key competence – managing stress, setting boundaries, emotional hygiene techniques and the prevention of burnout.
