News
Over the past month and a half, we have hosted fifteen online meetings, which we have called Coffee with DofE. In total, we counted more than 120 participants. We talked, we laughed and there was room for your questions.
For those of you who were unable to attend, we've put together the most frequently asked questions and answers.

We would also like to inform you that with MOE we are actively dealing with when and under what conditions it is possible to organize expeditions. We want to have a clear position as soon as possible so that you and the school management can be sure. For more information on expeditions, please see the relevant section below.
Call DofE Fund We will announce in the second half of August to give you the opportunity to apply for support for activities in the first half of the next school year. Details of the DofE Fund will also be covered in the June Coffee with the DofE.
DofE story
DofE spreads further
Even though not very positive news comes to us every day, we at the National Centre remain positive. We prefer to focus on news of the DofE's spreading popularity, which even a quarantine can't stop.
The first Czech grammar school in Karlovy Vary is the new Local Centre, where a discussion with the Ambassador took place at the beginning of the year. The actual enrolment of participants in ORB and goal setting in activities was interrupted by the closure of schools. Head of Dana Ančincová and Simona Prošková did not shy away from the quarantine and contacted the students through online channels, where they are actively communicating with them. Over the past week, they have also organized a joint videoconference with future participants. Try also an online meeting with the participants, it will give them motivation and enthusiasm. You can also invite your regional manager.
DofE Club
The DofE Club has been busy these weeks preparing a new promotional video involving members from across the country. And they're not slacking off in the DofE Challenge. During the penultimate week of the challenge, members are picking up litter in the neighbourhood, cycling and other sports.
Expeditions
In past Special Briefs, we have introduced many new features. There were many changes and we dedicated a whole Kafe s Dofe to them. If you missed the joint meeting and something is not clear, don't despair. All important materials can be found in methodological materials. We will briefly repeat the important points:
- You can skip the training expedition or her to combine with expeditionary training.
- Your work will be easier with the new Expedition Training Manual and the upcoming Methodology of experiential expedition training.
- All current documents are always available on the web (see link above).
- It is very important to constantly monitor and comply with current government and health measures, consult with the school management to arrange expeditions, and obtain their approval.
