At the DofE, we organise bronze and silver ceremonies virtually all over the country during February and March. In Ústí nad Labem, for example, Pavla Malchusová received her bronze level badge and certificate.

A young girl from the Ústí Gymnasium in Jateční Street focused on doing fifteen push-ups while moving. She crocheted a scarf and created crocheted animals for the children's ward of the hospital as part of her volunteering skills.

"The DofE has helped me to organise my time better and get back into the gym again. I signed up because I wanted to strengthen my discipline by setting clear goals," she described.

Her leader Zdeňka Neubauerová sees great benefit in the DofE. "It develops participants' perseverance, social commitment, ability to cooperate, empathy and confidence in their own abilities. It's great that each participant can set their own individual goals," says a leader from the Ústí nad Labem high school. Zdeňka Neubauerová also places great emphasis on volunteering. At the gymnasium, she says, it is more systematic and long-term thanks to the DofE. "Many of the participants continue to volunteer after their participation in the DofE and I am very happy about that," she adds.

In the Ústí nad Labem Region, 210 participants joined the DofE last year. In total, there are 28 DofE centres in the region.
